The BoyFriend Jeans

Hi Everyone and happy sunday!

If you follow me on instagram (beautytakwsj), you know that I was on the hunt for the perfect boyfriend jeans. So of course, I went to GAP to find the right pair. After posting some pics of myself wearing the jeans...many of you didnt like them. But this didnt stop me at all, and Ill tell you why. To me boyfriend jeans stand for laid-back, sexy chick that just rolled out of bed...if you cant picture someone when I described this, think Kate Moss!! She is hot, and she owns the BF jeans trend to PERFECTION. So last night when my bf and I got home, he goes....how about you try my jeans?? My first thought was...umm babe, you are SOOO tiny! they will never fit me! But guess what? I put them on this morning, and they FIT like a perfect glove...well loose glove! Since he is taller than me, I cuffed them and paired them with my favorite electric blue heels! The key to make this look work for you is to combine the looseness of the jeans with structure! So I married my jeans with a structured blazer...and to give it a boho/cool celebrity vibe...i added a big infinity scarf! LOVE LOVE LOVE and I cannot wait to rock this look tomorrow!!!!

Friday OOTD and MOTD

This by far has to be one of my favorite outfits! And its funny to think that ive owned this blouse for over 6 months and this is only the 2nd time ive worn it!!! Why? Because now it actually fits me properly!! I have to say that I felt really good that day! I really experimented with my makeup and I have to admit I think it turned out pretty cool!

Happy Thursday All!

Its crazy! Everyday I wake up and I am really starting to embrace all the changes I am going through! I bought the skirt below over 3 months ago and I can honestly say that I couldnt wear it! It was too tight and just wasnt working in my favor! But now, 20lbs lighter I am embracing my body and loving it!

Monday, Monday, Monday! I used to dread monday mornings and now...I get excited for them! I have my weigh-ins that day...plus I have to admit, one of my favorite things in life and getting ready each morning!!! I know it may sound  crazy to some people but I adore getting ready!
Choosing my outfits...applying makeup...I ADORE BEING A GIRL!!!!
I also have to admit, I am SO happy fall is coming! I just love layering clothes and I LOVE scarves!!!

My March Favorites

Hey everyone! So I know, I am a tad late writing about this! But I was just too excited to talk about my monthly faves...and Ive been so busy lately on the weekend! For the past month, there was always a guest at our apartment...making it really hard to film a video and edit when you are entertaining guests!

Moving on, I couldnt be more thrilled to share with you guys what I have been loving this month! Believe it or not...its not all makeup related...well its still beauty stuff...but I will let you judge!

Last but not least is my new Bobbi Brown book! I actually own all of her books and she is my role model! I bought the book yesterday but I had to add it in my favorites, because I already know I will love it! Its for makeup professionals or beginners! She really gives a step by step of how-to's...its awesome! You guys should definately check it out and let me know what you think of them! There is also one Bobbi Brown book for teenagers called Beauty Rules that I am sure would also be a great read! When I was a teenager...she wrote a book called teenage beauty...and believe it or not, it seriously got me through high school! As a kid...I was awkward in my looks and I didnt even know how to apply eyeshadow and what a eyeshadow brush was! I was the kid that spent so much money on bonnie bell lip glosses! But that book really changed my view on makeup...and this is what I believe to be true:

"Makeup is made to showcase a woman's own natural beauty, and not to hide her whole face"

Moisturize those lashes!

Hey fellow beauty lovers, and let me introduce you to one of my new topic idea: QUICK TIPS! A while back (like 3 years ago) when I had the channel SJLOVESMAC, I used to have quick tips videos where I would give you guys some of my favorite beauty knowledge in a 1-2 minute video....and guess what? I am bringing them back!!

Here is the first tip of my quick tip beauty series:

Introducing, moisturize those lashes! 

I was inspired to make this post by one of the models I was doing makeup on last weekend for a photoshoot! The model in question had AMAZING dense lashes, and I just had to tell her! Then she filled me in on a little secret....VASELINE!!!

OK so all you will need for this tip are the following:

1) A disposable mascara wand

2) Good old Vaseline!

1 lipstick: 6 different ways!

Hey guys!

I am back again, and today I wanted to discuss with you guys the different ways you can wear a lipstick! As you saw on my last post, I used the ever so beautiful YSL #27 and also used it as a blush! So much fun!

Today I will be using Mac's Ruby Woo and show you many different ways to wear it! 

This post was really inspired by my twin sister Jess! If you are reading this blog you probably already know all about her!! She is this amazing girl who talks about weight loss, great receipes and basically blogs about her life and stuff! To see her youtube, just click here! She really is a source of inspiration, plus since we live so far away from each other, it give me a way to always see her :) 

So enough sappiness for today! Going back to what I was saying, I really posted this blog because of my sister! She feels that lipstick doesnt look great on her and I wanted to show her (and all of you guys) that you can wear a bright lip or a red lip...you just have to find the right application for you! 

In this tutorial (that will be up in a few days on my YouTube ) I will show you 6 ways to wear a red lip! Thats right....6!!! Here are some pictures of the different looks I created! Hope you like them :)

A lipstick obsession

As some of you may know, I have a slight addiction to lipstick, and if you didnt know already...the title mostly likely gave it away!

The reason I have so much? Well I love pretty colors and I just cant get enough...I always seem to find new ones I cannot live without!
